Calvin Begay is one of the best known artists in the world of Native jewelry. and is an award winning artist, jeweler, designer and master craftsman. While he's known for his work in stone inlay style, he also does old style jewelry which is absolutely fabulous.

He designs an item and turns the execution over to his apprentices, under his constant and total supervision. (For those unfamiliar with it, the atelier system is what allows great artists like Calvin to turn out more work than their individual hands and hours can accomplish.) Calvin's work may be signed by him personally, by one of the members of his atelier or stamped with TSF (His former shop, A Touch of Santa Fe, in Gallup, New Mexico). But they are all Calvin Begay pieces. A ring can be hallmarked Calvin, Dine, TSF along with his Sterling stamp, and a copyright symbol.)
